Planting of the Avenue of Czech-Slovak Statehood
In Vestec, another tree avenue will grow, which will connect the cycle paths in the direction of Kunratice and Hrnčíř. This will enable pedestrians and cyclists to avoid the sometimes unclear crossroads behind the WWTP near the hunters' clubhouse.
One hundred trees will be planted with the support of the Partnership Foundation and with the participation of representatives of Czech and Slovak Rotary Clubs. They will thus complete this year's celebration of the centenary of their founding in the former Czechoslovakia.
Some of the planted trees will commemorate famous names of former Rotary Club members such as Jan Masaryk, Tomáš Jan Baťa, members of the Havel family and other extraordinary personalities of Czech and Slovak history and the present.
