The Regional Veterinary Administration of the State Veterinary Administration for the Central Bohemia Region, as the locally and factually competent administrative authority, is ordering emergency veterinary measures on the basis of confirmation of the occurrence of a dangerous disease - highly pathogenic avian influenza - in a poultry farm in the cadastral territory of Hrusice [648655] and in a poultry farm in the cadastral territory of Chomutovice u Dobřejovic [627674], district of Dobřejovice. Praha-východ, in the Central Bohemian Region.

Definition of the closed zone - it consists of a protection zone and a surveillance zone.

Protective zone concerns municipalities and cadastral areas:

Surveillance band is then in municipalities and cadastral areas:

The municipalities in the closed zone are ordered, inter alia, to make an inventory of all farms where poultry are kept or kept and farms where other captive birds or farmed game birds are kept, no later than 14 December 2022.

Bird breeders in the exclusion zone are, inter alia, ordered to:

• keep the kept birds separate from wild animals and other animals, i.e. prevent wild birds from entering the premises, prevent contamination of feed and water supply by droppings of wild birds,
• carry out further surveillance on the farm to detect any further spread of the disease,
• to provide the municipality with the information to carry out an inventory of birds on the farm by 14.12.2022 at the latest – census sheet here
• transport animal by-products originating in the restricted zone and transported outside the restricted zone only with a veterinary certificate issued by the official veterinarian of the KVS,
• ban on holding exhibitions, fairs, poultry shows,
• ban on hunting game birds,
• a ban on the movement of fresh meat including offal from farmed and wild birds from farms,
• a ban on the movement of eggs or liquid eggs for human consumption from farms or food businesses in the protection zone.

The administrative authority may impose a fine of up to CZK 100,000 for non-compliance with or breach of the obligations arising from these emergency veterinary measures, pursuant to Sections 71 and 72 of the Veterinary Act, in the case of a natural person.
