The Regional Authority of the Central Bohemian Region, Department of Environment and Agriculture, as the nature protection authority with subject matter and local competence, issues a measure of a general nature - setting out more detailed conditions for the application of the Principles regulation of the glandular spider (Ailanthus altisima) in the Czech Republic for the purpose of removal, control or isolation, in line with the long-term goal of complete removal of the spider mite throughout the Czech Republic. This restriction applies to the entire territory of the Central Bohemian Region under the jurisdiction of the Regional Authority.
In this context, it is important, among other things, to map the occurrence of the spider moth (report to the regional authority or via the BioLog application) in the Central Bohemian Region; to control the spider moth as part of normal land care and to consistently remove the spider moth using a combination of mechanical and chemical methods, including the removal of the re-growth in subsequent years (with the exception of male individuals if they perform an aesthetic function - but even these must be reported to the competent nature protection authority).
Methodological recommendations for the control of the spider moth are included in the full text of this general nature measure.
