Christmas tree lighting - Saturday 29 November from 15:30
We cordially invite you to the Christmas Tree Lighting on Vestecka Street on Saturday 29 November with a rich accompanying programme on and off the stage. You can look forward to Advent workshops, a live nativity scene with a llama and camel, angels with a box for Santa's mail, an Advent quiz, Advent crafts or a photo booth, all free of charge. The event runs from 15:30 to 19:00.
Children from our kindergarten will perform on stage from 4 pm and 5 pm, and at 4:20 pm and 5:20 pm you can enjoy carols performed by the Cancioneta Praga choir. We will light the tree together around 4:40 pm with the singing of Czech carols.
The Vestec municipality prepares hot soups (free of charge) and mulled wine and punch to warm you up - we use returnable cups for a deposit of 50 CZK, drinks in your own cups are discounted;-)
But you can also taste trdelník, homemade sausages from the smokehouse, great coffee and hot drinks or pancakes. The Del Borgo café and the U Šimečků pub are also open. There will also be an opportunity to buy small Christmas gifts.
Drivers are advised that throughout the day and especially during the event there will be Vestecká Street in the section between the intersections with Na Průhoně and K Jahodárně streets closed to vehicular traffic! The passage of public transport buses will be allowed.
